We wrapped up the weekend with a picnic in the park on Saturday night. Libby and Shane walked down to the water and another family who was there gave them a hamburger bun to feed the geese. Geese can be a little aggressive and if you look closely you can see the surprise on Libby's face that Daddy almost lost a few fingers.
She's our little mess! Libby ate a good dinner, and her favorite part was the Sun Chips with an orange coating. After dinner she did some more running around and lots of falling down. The park is loaded with little treasures that the geese leave behind, and Libby got a serious scrubbing that night.
I was having an ice cream attack after dinner so we hit Baskin Robbins on the way back to my mom's. Libby held tight to her cone, but the ice cream fell off of it. She was so tired she barely even noticed.
This picture cracked me up because we call Grunny "frog dog" when he lays like this. Peyton is our little frog dog.
We're back home and our littlest nugget, had a bit of a fussy day because (we think) she was gassy (like father, like daughter). Still, parenting feels like guess work, but I think we're a little more relaxed about all the things we DON'T know this time around. Anyway, I put her on her stomach this afternoon because it was the only way she could get comfortable, and she was so peaceful and content.
Right now, she's asleep in her swing. Today is the first day she's been in it, and it has worked pretty well too. Libby wants to "push" her in the swing. We spent some time standing next to the swing today practicing blowing kisses to sister, rather than touching the swing. We'll see how that goes.
