A little about me...

Thanks for visiting my blog. I started writing here two years ago as a way to update family and friends with the happenings of our growing family. The more I wrote, the more I read (other blogs and websites), and the less isolated I felt on this journey called parenting, or on a broader spectrum, life. The more I wrote the more necessary it's become for me to write. Writing has proven much cheaper than therapy. And along the way I've discovered, I'm not horrible at it, despite what my middle and high school report cards say. Hey, Mr. Casler. Can you deal with THAT?!

Though my writings most often center around my incredibly adorable children, the content will inevitably be shaken up in the near future as I'm about take on the title "working mom" and return to the (paid) workforce. Wish me luck! I let you know how it goes....

Goodbye Mullet!

I acted on impulse this morning. I got Libby dressed, fed her breakfast and set her on the bathroom counter. I combed water through her hair and put in her pigtails. Then, I cut them off! Yep, the mullet is no more. While I did love the pig tails, I saved them and I can keep them forever in her baby book. They're even adorned with cute little pink bows. Weird, I know. Surely, her hair will grow fast enough, and before I know it I'll be putting in pigtails again. But for now it's time to let the sides do a little catching up and she has a cute little (though maybe a little shorter than anticipated) bob. Peyton is just happy I didn't bring the scissors her way. :)
