A little about me...

Thanks for visiting my blog. I started writing here two years ago as a way to update family and friends with the happenings of our growing family. The more I wrote, the more I read (other blogs and websites), and the less isolated I felt on this journey called parenting, or on a broader spectrum, life. The more I wrote the more necessary it's become for me to write. Writing has proven much cheaper than therapy. And along the way I've discovered, I'm not horrible at it, despite what my middle and high school report cards say. Hey, Mr. Casler. Can you deal with THAT?!

Though my writings most often center around my incredibly adorable children, the content will inevitably be shaken up in the near future as I'm about take on the title "working mom" and return to the (paid) workforce. Wish me luck! I let you know how it goes....

Teachers Make the Worst Students

It's true. Though, even before I was a teacher I was never a great student. If the content is boring, I can read it 49 times and it won't stick. At the moment I'm reading the results of research study, after research study. Fascinating stuff. Add to the mix, two kids and a husband who is (at this very moment) standing before me trying to distract with insane, hip thrusting (albeit awesome) dance moves and there's NO WAY I can work IN THIS HOUSE. I've got to complete a class to renew my teaching license, so yesterday I went elsewhere to do my reading. Notice the obscene amount of caffeine I brought along for the ride....
