We spent the afternoon at the olympic trials. We didn't have tickets into the stadium, but there was so much to do around the venue we didn't need them. The last time the trials were here our family looked like
this.
A friend of mine was singing with her band on the main stage, so the goal was to get there in time to see them play. They were great, and we made some fun stops on the way....
The girls might not understand yet what a big deal the olympics are, but I'm pretty sure Libby added London to her bucket list because they have double decker buses.
Can I get this installed in my home? No, not for me.
A lesson in the starting blocks
Standing Long Jump
Long Jump
Assisted Hurdles. I'm bummed that I missed getting a good picture of Libby. She tried every hurdle.
Champions
Shot Put (sorta)
Unassisted Hurdles
Note the scene overhead. Not just the plane, but also blue sky. I stole this picture from my friend Corey's facebook page. Thanks Corey :)
Riding back to Autzen on the bus, which was a highlight in itself. Forget the Olympic Trials being in Eugene. We have
buses. See Peyton's deer-in-the-headlights look? She was asleep before we got home.
